Couple walking hand in hand through a woodland

Surrey Wedding Photographer & Videographer

Surrey is the most wooded county in England, and it shows on a wedding day: beech woods and heathland, the chalk slopes of the Surrey Hills, vineyards, and some of the grandest country hotels within reach of London.

Our studio in Beckenham sits close to the Surrey border, so most of the county is an easy drive for us. We photograph and film weddings from Epsom and Reigate to Guildford, Dorking, Woking and the villages in between.

Getting married in Surrey

Popular venues include Loseley Park near Guildford, an Elizabethan house with walled gardens, and Gate Street Barn in Bramley for a rustic, open-plan day. Couples marrying at Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking have rows of vines and the North Downs behind them. Painshill in Cobham offers landscaped gardens and a lake, while Great Fosters in Egham and Pennyhill Park in Bagshot suit a hotel wedding with everything in one place. Oatlands Park in Weybridge is another long-standing favourite.

Surrey also has a long history of faith communities. Woking is home to the Shah Jahan Mosque, the first purpose-built mosque in Britain, and the county has thriving Muslim, Hindu and Sikh families. We cover nikah and walima celebrations, Hindu weddings, Sikh weddings and Jewish weddings with the same care as a village church wedding.

Light in the woods

Tree cover is a gift for portraits. It softens harsh midday sun, gives an even, flattering light and keeps photographs looking calm and green.

  • Use the shade. On a bright summer day, a short walk into the trees gives better light than an open lawn.
  • Save the hills for sunset. High ground in the Surrey Hills catches the last light long after the valleys go dim.
  • Bring sensible shoes. Woodland paths and vineyards can be soft underfoot, so a second pair for portraits helps.

One team, photo and film

Most couples book photography and film together, so one team plans the day with you and works as one in the room. Photography starts from £830 and film from £1,430. See all our collections. Marrying closer to town? See our London wedding photographer page.

Your questions, answered

Is travel included for Surrey weddings?

For almost every venue, yes. Travel is included within 50 miles of Beckenham, which covers nearly all of Surrey. If your venue is further out, we quote travel at cost and tell you before you book.

Can you cover a nikah and a reception on different days?

Yes. Many weddings we cover run over two or more days. We quote each event separately, so you only pay for the coverage you need.

What if it rains at an outdoor ceremony?

Most Surrey venues have an indoor plan, and we adapt with them. Barns, orangeries and hotel interiors all photograph well, and trees give some shelter for a quick portrait between showers.
