London Wedding Photographer & Videographer

London has thirty-two boroughs, and each one marries differently. A ten-minute ceremony at a town hall, a three-day Sikh wedding, a museum reception under a whale skeleton, a riverside dinner for twenty: we photograph and film all of it, from our studio in Beckenham on the south-east edge of the city.

Town halls and register offices

Some of the best-loved ceremony rooms in the country are London town halls. Couples marrying at Old Marylebone Town Hall walk out onto the steps on Marylebone Road, Chelsea Old Town Hall sits on the King’s Road, and Islington and Hackney town halls have grand interiors of their own. Westminster ceremonies are also held at Mayfair Library. Rules on photography during the ceremony vary from room to room, so we check with each office before the day. See civil ceremonies and intimate weddings.

Landmarks and hotels

  • Museums and palaces. Popular venues include the Natural History Museum, Banqueting House on Whitehall and Kew Gardens, each with its own rules for photography and film.
  • Grand hotels. Couples marrying at The Savoy, Claridge’s or The Langham have ballrooms built for big receptions and streets outside made for night portraits.
  • Rooftops, restaurants and warehouses. For smaller or more relaxed weddings, with the skyline or the river close by. See our city weddings page.

A city of every faith

London is where cultures meet, and so do its weddings. We cover Sikh weddings at gurdwaras across the city, from Southall to south London, Hindu ceremonies with the pheras around the mandap, nikahs and walimas, Jewish weddings under the chuppah, African and Caribbean celebrations, church services and fusion weddings that bring two traditions into one day. One of our own films is a Hindu and Jewish wedding in London.

Getting around the city

London traffic is the one thing that catches couples out. Allow more time than the map suggests between getting ready, the ceremony and the venue, especially on a Saturday. A black cab, a vintage car or the Tube can all make good photographs, and the best portrait spot is often a five-minute walk from the door. In winter the light goes by four, which makes the city glow early: see winter weddings.

One team covers both photography and film. Photography starts from £830 and film from £1,430. See our collections, or our pages for Croydon and Bromley.

Your questions, answered

Do you cover all of London?

Yes. Travel is included within 50 miles of our studio in Beckenham, which takes in every London borough, north and south of the river.

Can you film inside a register office?

Usually, yes, though each office sets its own rules and some limit filming during the legal part of the ceremony. We check with your register office in advance so there are no surprises.

Can you cover a short town hall wedding at short notice?

Often, yes. Our simple films start from £950 for two hours of coverage, which suits a town hall ceremony and portraits nearby.

How quickly will you reply?
