West London takes in riverside Chiswick and Hammersmith, the leafy streets of Ealing, and the busy, close-knit communities of Southall, Hounslow and Hayes. Some of the biggest Asian weddings in the country happen here, alongside small register office ceremonies and grand days in historic houses. We photograph and film all of them, with one team for both.
We travel across from our studio in Beckenham and always plan for London traffic, so we arrive early and settled.
Whatever the size of your day, we work the same way: a call before the wedding to learn the running order and the people who matter most, a calm presence on the day, and photographs and a film that feel like your family rather than a template.
Sikh and Punjabi weddings
Southall is the heart of Punjabi London, and the Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha there is one of the largest gurdwaras in Britain. Gurdwaras across Southall, Hounslow and Hayes host Anand Karaj ceremonies most weekends. We cover the milni, the laavan, the palla and the doli with care, and follow the guidance of each gurdwara on where we stand and how we dress. See our page on Sikh wedding films.
Many Sikh and Hindu receptions are held in the large banqueting halls and hotels near Heathrow, where there is room for hundreds of guests and a long night of dancing. We plan coverage for each event separately, so a mehndi, a ceremony and a reception can each have the team they need.
Every faith, every family
West London is also home to Gujarati, Tamil, Pakistani, Somali, Afghan, Polish and Irish families, among many others. We cover Hindu weddings with the pheras around the mandap, nikahs and walimas, church weddings including Polish and Irish Catholic services, Jewish weddings, African weddings and fusion weddings that bring two cultures into one day. Our page on Asian weddings explains how we plan multi-day celebrations.
Houses, gardens and the river
Popular venues include Syon Park, with its great conservatory and parkland beside the Thames, and Chiswick House and Gardens, a Palladian villa with formal grounds. Kew Gardens, just across the river, has glasshouses and lawns that photograph well in every season. Each of these has its own rules for photography and film, which we check before the day.
- The riverside. The Thames path at Chiswick and Hammersmith gives you water, bridges and soft evening light.
- Ealing’s greens. Walpole Park and the open greens around Ealing are a short walk from many venues and the town hall.
- Town hall steps. Civil ceremonies in Ealing are held at Ealing Town Hall, and other boroughs have their own register offices. See our page on civil ceremonies.
Roads around the M4, the A40 and Heathrow can be slow on a Saturday. Allow more time than the map suggests between getting ready, the ceremony and the reception, especially when a baraat or a convoy of cars is involved.
One team, photo and film
Most couples book photography and film together. Photography starts from £830 and film from £1,430. See our collections, or our pages for Harrow, North London, Kingston and Surrey. For the wider city, see our London wedding photographer page.
Your questions, answered
Is travel included for West London weddings?
Yes. Travel is included within 50 miles of our studio in Beckenham, which takes in all of West London and the Heathrow area.
Can you film inside the gurdwara?
In most gurdwaras, yes, within the rules each one sets. We cover our heads, remove our shoes and keep a respectful distance during the laavan. We check the guidance with the gurdwara before the day.
Can you cover several events over different days?
Yes. Many weddings we cover run over two or more days. We quote each event separately, so you only pay for the coverage you need.
How soon will you reply to our enquiry?
Within one working day. Tell us your date and venue and we will confirm whether we are free.
