Birmingham weddings are big, warm and busy, often running over several days with hundreds of guests. We are a photography and film studio based in Beckenham, and we have covered weddings in Birmingham. We travel up with the same team and the same calm approach we bring to every wedding.
Few cities in the UK celebrate as many cultures as Birmingham. A single weekend can hold an anand karaj in Handsworth, a nikah in Small Heath and a reception in a banqueting hall off the motorway, each with its own rhythm and its own rules. We like that. It asks for photographers and filmmakers who know what comes next and where to stand.
Getting married in Birmingham
- Gurdwaras and temples. Couples marrying at Guru Nanak Gurdwara in Smethwick or the Balaji temple in Tividale need a team that understands the laavan, the palla and the quiet of the darbar hall. See our Sikh wedding films and Hindu wedding films.
- Nikahs and walimas. At Birmingham Central Mosque, at home or at your venue, covered with respect for how your family wants things done. More on our Muslim wedding page.
- Hotels and estates. Popular venues include Edgbaston Park Hotel, Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Hampton Manor, just outside the city in Solihull.
- Industrial city spaces. The Jewellery Quarter and the canals around Gas Street Basin make honest, textured backdrops for portraits between the ceremony and the reception.
Multi-day celebrations
Many Birmingham weddings are not one day but four or five: a mehndi, a maiyan or haldi, a sangeet, the ceremony and the reception. We price Asian weddings event by event, so you choose exactly what you want covered, whether that is the whole week or just the ceremony and the party. Our guide to Asian wedding venues is a useful place to start if you are still looking for a hall.
How we travel up
- Travel at cost. Travel is included within 50 miles of Beckenham. Birmingham is further, so we quote fuel or train fares at cost, with no mark-up.
- Overnight stays. For an early start or several days in a row, we stay nearby, so we arrive rested and on time for the first ritual of the morning.
- The same team. The people you meet on the call are the people at your wedding. One team can cover both photography and film.
Photography and film, together
Our wedding photography starts from £830, wedding films from £1,430, and both together from £2,180, for two hours of coverage from Friday to Sunday. Weekday weddings, Monday to Thursday, are 15% less. See all our collections. Planning further east? We also travel to Leicester.
Your questions, answered
Do you really travel to Birmingham from London?
Yes. We have covered weddings in Birmingham and travel up regularly. Travel beyond 50 miles of Beckenham is quoted at cost, and we stay overnight when the day starts early.
Can you cover a large Sikh or Hindu wedding with hundreds of guests?
Yes. We plan the coverage around your family, your rituals and the size of the room, and add a second photographer or filmmaker where a big wedding needs one.
Can we book just some of the events?
Of course. We price each event separately, so you can book the mehndi, the ceremony and the reception and leave the rest.
How quickly will you reply?
Within one working day. Tell us your date and venue and we will come back with availability and a price, including travel.
