Beckenham is home. Our studio is here, so when you marry in Beckenham you are marrying on streets we walk every week, in parks we know by the hour, with a team that is never more than a few minutes away.
That local knowledge makes a real difference on the day. We know where the light falls in late afternoon, which paths stay quiet on a Saturday and how long the drive takes from the High Street to the park. It means less planning for you and more time for the people you love.
Getting married in Beckenham
Beckenham sits on the edge of south-east London and Kent, part of the London Borough of Bromley, so civil ceremonies are arranged through the Bromley register office. Many couples marry in the borough’s ceremony rooms with a small group, then move on to a restaurant or a hall for the celebration. See our guide to civil ceremonies for how the day usually runs.
For church weddings, St George’s on the High Street is the landmark of the town, with its tall spire and a churchyard that gives you a gentle spot for confetti. Couples celebrating near Beckenham Place Park have one of the largest green spaces in south-east London on the doorstep, with woodland, meadows and the lake for portraits.
Our favourite local spots
- Beckenham Place Park. Ancient woodland and long avenues of trees, at their best in the low light of an autumn evening.
- Kelsey Park. A small park with a lake and footbridges, a short walk from the High Street and easy to fit between the ceremony and the meal.
- The High Street. Old shopfronts, the church and the war memorial, for couples who like a more relaxed, town-centre feel.
Small, local and personal
A lot of Beckenham weddings are smaller: a register office ceremony, a walk in the park and dinner with family. They suit our intimate wedding coverage well, and short notice is rarely a problem when we live this close. Simple films start from £950, for two hours of coverage.
Beckenham is also a place where many cultures and families meet, and we photograph and film weddings of every faith: Christian, Hindu, Sikh, Muslim, Jewish, civil, fusion, African and Caribbean.
Photography and film, together
One team covers both wedding photography and wedding films, so the plan is shared and nobody gets in anyone’s way. Photography starts from £830 and film from £1,430. See every option on our collections page. If your venue is a little further out, see our pages for Bromley and Kent.
