Groom kissing his bride's forehead in traditional Asian wedding dress

Asian Weddings in London

An Asian wedding is not one day but a whole season of celebration: henna and music, colour and gold, prayers and parties, and hundreds of people who love you. We photograph and film every part of it, from the first mehndi to the last dance at the reception.

Hindu, Sikh and Muslim weddings, and Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil and Bengali families, all have their own customs, and every family adds its own. We take the time to learn how your wedding will run, who matters most in each moment and which rituals your family would never want missed, and then we cover your celebrations with the calm of a team that has been there before.

Weddings by tradition

  • Sikh weddings. The milni, the Anand Karaj at the gurdwara, the laavan, the doli and the reception.
  • Hindu weddings. The haldi, the baraat, the mandap, the kanyadaan, the pheras and the sindoor, with Gujarati, Punjabi and Tamil variations.
  • Muslim weddings. The mehndi, the nikah and the walima, covered with modesty and discretion.
  • Fusion weddings. Two cultures, two ceremonies and one story, from Hindu and Sikh unions to Asian and English weddings.

Every event, every day

  • Mehndi. Intricate henna, close family and the first real party of the week.
  • Sangeet. Rehearsed dances, family performances and a room full of music.
  • Haldi or maiyan. Turmeric, laughter and a lot of mess, best photographed up close.
  • The ceremony. At a temple, a gurdwara, a mosque or your venue, covered quietly and within the rules of each place of worship.
  • The reception. Grand entrances, speeches, the first dance and a dance floor that never empties.

Colour, light and scale

Asian weddings ask a lot of a photographer: rich reds and golds that must look true, busy rooms, fast-moving rituals and some of the biggest guest lists of any wedding. We work with natural light wherever we can and bring quiet, flattering lighting for the evening, so outfits, jewellery and skin tones look beautiful. Our films are shot on cinema cameras that love low light, so the reception looks as magical on screen as it did on the night.

We also make time for you. Even on the busiest day we will find twenty minutes for relaxed portraits of the two of you, and a few of your families, without keeping anyone from the party. In winter, with every event indoors, the jewel tones look even richer.

Priced by event

Every event is priced on its own, so you only pay for the days and hours you need. Wedding photography starts from £830 and wedding films from £1,430. Booking both together means one team and one plan, and it costs less than booking separately. See our collections.

Your questions, answered

Do we have to book every event?

No. Choose the events that matter most to you. Many couples book the ceremony and reception, and add the mehndi or sangeet if they can.

Can you photograph inside a temple, gurdwara or mosque?

Usually, yes. Each place of worship has its own rules, and we always ask in advance and follow them, from covering our heads to filming from a set position.

Do you cover Asian weddings outside London?

Yes. We are based in London and travel across the UK, including the Midlands and the North, and abroad.

How do we get a price for several events?

Get your price: tell us each event, its date and the hours you need, and we will price them all together.
